From Grasslands to Royal Forests: A Journey through Kaziranga & Ranthambhore

TOUR SUMMARY

Region: North Western and North Eastern India

Duration: 13 Days /12 Nights

Areas covered: Delhi – Kaziranga – Delhi – Ranthambhore – DelhiKaziranga National Park: Land of the One-Horned Rhino

Set against the lush floodplains of Assam’s Brahmaputra River, Kaziranga National Park is a

UNESCO World Heritage Site and a haven for wildlife. Renowned for its thriving population

of the great Indian one-horned rhinoceros, Kaziranga also shelters Asiatic elephants, wild

water buffalo, swamp deer, and the elusive Bengal tiger.

Its rich mosaic of tall grasslands, wetlands, and tropical forests supports over 480 bird

species, making it a paradise for birdwatchers and nature lovers alike.

From misty dawns to golden grasslands alive with movement, Kaziranga offers a raw and

unforgettable window into India’s wild east.

Ranthambhore National Park: Where History Meets the Wild

Set against the dramatic backdrop of Rajasthan’s Aravalli and Vindhya hills, Ranthambhore

National Park is one of India’s most iconic wildlife reserves. Once the royal hunting

grounds of the Maharajas of Jaipur, it is now a protected sanctuary known for its thriving

population of Royal Bengal tigers, often seen roaming the park’s dry deciduous forests and

ancient ruins.

The landscape is a striking blend of rocky ridges, dry forests, open grasslands, and tranquil

lakes, dotted with centuries-old temples and the majestic Ranthambhore Fort, a UNESCO

World Heritage Site that towers above the park.

Ranthambhore is home to a rich array of wildlife, including leopards, sloth bears, striped

hyenas, marsh crocodiles, sambar deer, nilgai, langurs, and more. It’s also a paradise for

birdwatchers, with over 300 bird species, including crested serpent eagles, painted storks,

and seasonal migratory visitors like flamingos and pelicans.

A safari here offers more than just wildlife sightings — it’s a journey into India’s wild soul,

where nature, history, and myth converge in every rustle of the trees and every paw print

in the dust.OUTLINE ITINERARY
